To Save a Life is a powerful Christian film about suicide, faith, and the power of one person to make a difference in the lives of many. Set in an urban high school where the jocks are high on the popularity scale and partying is commonplace, the film opens with several striking segments that include a surprisingly uncensored look at a teen culture ripe with underage drinking, bullying, and sexuality. Jake (Randy Wayne) is a popular basketball player who's at the heart of every party, but when he witnesses a childhood friend commit suicide in the halls of their school, he begins to reflect upon how he treated his friend in recent years. As he starts to grapple with his own sense of right versus wrong and struggles to define what his duty toward others might be, he meets a youth pastor who intrigues him despite his own disinterest in religion. As Jake's relationships with his parents and his girlfriend Amy become increasingly tumultuous and confusing, Pastor Chris (Joshua Weigel) serves as someone he can talk to, and his weekly youth group becomes a safe place where he can be himself without the fear of being judged. With Chris's help, Jake sets out on a journey of transformation and personal growth that will reveal God's unconditional love and Jake's power to make a difference in the lives of others. This film is both graphic in its demonstrations of immorality and openly preachy, traits that may render it uncomfortable viewing for many, but those very traits send a powerful message to modern teens. As a father of three HS children the movie "To Save a life" is one that I would like every HS kid in America to watch. The movie provides a realistic portrayal of the choices and consequences that teens make and it shows how vulnerable everyone is from the popular Capitan of the basketball team, his cheerleader girlfriend, to the lonely outcast. It is not afraid to deal with real serious issues that teens face such as peer pressure, binge drinking, casual sex, cutting, and suicide.
Faith is a major part of the movie and the transformation of the life of the main character, and as a Christian I accept and believe that, but instead of focusing on the theology it illustrates the results of belief, loving and accepting others, inclusion, forgiveness and redemption.

Wow is not even the word I wanted to type but I also could not find the words in the dictionary to describe this movie. This movie has motivated me to uplift others and seek HIM even more. I cannot describe how much this movie hits home with not only me but my fiance'. A lot of our friends or associates whom we have know have either committed suicide or passed away from the abuse of drugs and we asked the wrong questions and not "WHY". We are saddened by so many deaths of our youth but have done nothing to help or prevent the rate from escalating so I ask, I mean I PRAY that if you feel the same to seek help and not give up, I do not care if you do not seek HIM but I do care if you cannot find help, because there is help and there are many people out there who are in the same shoes as you or even worse. Lets work together to LIVE and not give up hope!

This is the best movie I've seen in a while. No doubt folks could overkill the positives and negatives on this one, but the bottom line here is that the movie quenches the thirst for a relevant well acted storyline that urges us to put up or shut up.
